OUR FULFILLMENT!! pt.2

Today, we continue in looking at the different offerings that the people were commanded to perform, and how Jesus is our fulfillment of all of those offerings.

We must keep in mind that the people had to have the priest make the offering for them! The priest had to atone on their behalf. Imagine if you had to come to me or another pastor, and have us confess your sin before God and ask for forgiveness on your behalf. I don’t believe any of us would like that!

But as we will see, Jesus fulfilled all the requirements for all the offerings, and now intercedes for us in Heaven—what a JOY!!

2. The grain offering. This is described in Leviticus chapter 2. Spoiler alert, Jesus is our fulfillment! We see this displayed in 1 Corinthians 15:20 - “But as it is, Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.”

Jesus was raised from the dead on the third day! I know we believe that. It is what our faith hinges on. If you do not believe that, you CANNOT be saved! But, as much as we believe that, I wonder do we ever really comprehend the power that Jesus possesses. He raised Himself from the dead! And because we trust in Him, we are made alive with Him. Think of it this way, when Jesus rose from the dead, all of our hope and dreams and ambitions rose with Him. But all of our sins, and condemnation stayed in the grave! We no longer have to make an offering as a pleasing aroma to the Lord for the first fruits, the miracle that is the resurrection. He has already done that for us! And one day, we will draw our last breath on Earth, but we will never truly die. We will live with Jesus for eternity! Glory!!!!

 3. The fellowship(peace) offering. The people then had to make an offering and sacrifice to have peace with God—to be able to fellowship! Jesus fulfilled that for us and we see that in Romans 5:1 - “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

 Peace is an existent state as far as our salvation! We never have to worry about not being at peace with God Almighty! Can you imagine having to constantly worry if you were at peace with God? Constantly having to go back and forth to sacrifice and offer an offering just to continue to have fellowship with Him?! That would get exhausting. None of us would enjoy it. But now, since we have been justified and made righteous, we have(possess, claim, exist in) peace with God! Forever settled. Eternal peace!! That deserves another Glory!!!!!!!!!!!!

 As you read this, please pray for our country. With the death of Charlie Kirk yesterday, I am deeply concerned with the state of our nation. This is far more than a political or race issue. This is a heart issue! Plain and simple—AMERICA NEEDS JESUS! Pray for our country!
