GOING AND COMING!

Moving is not a fun process. You have to pack up everything, get a moving truck, box everything up, load the truck, drive to where you’re movin...you get the idea!

It is no secret that moving has a lot of moving parts, and over the course of history, I do not know of anyone who understood the moving process more than the Children of Israel. They moved from place to place within the wilderness for 40 years.

But, I found one thing very interesting as I read the Bible this morning!

Numbers 9:20
Sometimes the cloud remained over the tabernacle for only a few days. They would camp at the Lord’s command and set out at the Lord’s command.

These people were willing to follow wherever and whenever the Lord spoke! They showed incredible obedience! And I asked myself, “Am I that way?”. Do I obey every command and direction that the Lord gives me. I will be honest with you this morning, I haven’t always done that. There have been times where the Holy Spirit told me to do something and I did not obey. There have been times that the Holy Spirit told me not to do something and I did it anyway!

I am reminded of something I heard so much growing up. “Obey every impulse of the Holy Spirit.” Sometimes, we don’t obey because of fear. We get scared and doubt! I have found as I read Scripture, especially the account of the Children of Israel, that they followed God and He protected them! In their going and their coming, He was with them every step of the way!

Take joy this morning, God knows where you’re at. He sees your future. He knows the plans that He has for you! We just need to obey what He says!

When we do that, He will protect and bless our GOING AND COMING!
