BURDEN BEARER!!

DId you know that all of us as Christians are called to be a burden bearer? I think sometimes, we think that it is an option for us, or maybe that it is just reserved for Pastors. But in Scripture, Paul tells us in Galatians 6:2- “Carry one another’s burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
In the Scripture reading this morning, The Children of Israel began to complain because all they were being fed by God was sweet bread from Heaven. Moses gets frustrated, as most would, because he has seen God do amazing things for these people. He watched God bring them out of Egypt and slavery. He has seen God do amazing things for him personally, and now the children of Israel are complaining. They even began to say that they had it better back in Egypt because their needs were met.
Moses makes the statement that he can not carry all of these people by himsef. Listen to what the Lord tells him in Numbers 11:17- “Then I will come down and speak with you there. I will take some of the Spirit who is on you and put the Spirit on them. They will help you bear the burden of the people, so that you do not have to bear it by yourself.”
The Lord recognized that Moses needed some help, and thats exactly what He gave him—men to come along side of Moses and help bear the burdens of the people.
I want to just encourage you this morning, be a burden bearer for someone! Maybe reach out to one person today, and just simply ask them what is a burden they have in their life that they dont mind sharing, simply so you can pray for and with them!
It is no option to be a burden bearer. We don't get to choose whether we do that or not. So, let's obey the Lord, and let’s ask Him to put someone on our minds that we can reach out to, and help bear their burdens!
Be a BURDEN BEARER.
